What’s the role?As a Dynatrace Solution Engineer, you'll support the sales team, specializing in Dynatrace and Advanced Observability. Key responsibilities include demos, POCs, customer relationship building, and RFI/RFP management.
About you:You should be a motivated, confident individual with previous SE experience or a related customer-facing role. Passion for technology, technical sales, and articulating value to customers is essential.
- Experience: 3-5 years experience with observability or application performance management.
- Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, and teamwork skills; troubleshooting abilities; and project management skills.
- Travel: Up to 30% travel.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with observability technologies, containers, web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), programming/scripting, operating systems (Windows, Linux), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), DevOps/SRE practices.
Responsibilities Include:
- Evangelizing Dynatrace at trade shows and customer meetings.
- Partnering with sales to identify new and incremental sales opportunities.
- Participating in PoC creation, cloud architecture discussions, and technical solution evaluation.
- Presenting to C-suite executives.
- Providing technical guidance throughout the sales cycle.
- Delivering on-stage demonstrations at events.
- Gathering customer feedback for product improvement.
- Creating and modifying presentations.
- Supporting partner teams and acting as a technical point of contact.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in observability.
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience with containers, web technologies, programming/scripting, cloud platforms, DevOps/SRE practices, and modern technologies.
Location: Remote (Northern California, PNW, or Denver), hybrid role possible within 45 miles of Mountain View, CA or Denver, CO.
