What’s the role?As a Dynatrace Solution Engineer, you'll support sales, execute demos, manage POCs, build customer relationships, and complete RFIs/RFPs.
About you:
- Ambitious, confident, self-motivated SE or technical customer-facing role experience.
- Passionate about innovative technology, technical sales, and articulating value to customers.
- Excellent team player, communicator, and presenter.
- 3-5 years of observability or application performance management experience.
- Troubleshooting ability, project management skills, and the ability to support other SEs.
- Desire for professional growth and adaptability.
Responsibilities:
- Evangelize product offerings at trade shows and customer meetings.
- Identify new and incremental sales opportunities.
- Participate in PoC creation, cloud architecture discussions, and technical solution evaluation.
- Present Dynatrace's vision to C-suite executives.
- Provide technical guidance throughout the sales cycle.
- Deliver on-stage demonstrations at events.
- Gather, qualify, and provide customer feedback to Product Management.
- Build best practices and share knowledge within the team.
- Collaborate with sales and sales engineering leadership to identify learning/development opportunities.
- Create and modify Dynatrace template presentations.
- Support partners and be a technical point of contact for them.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience in observability.
- Experience with containers.
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Experience with programming/scripting technologies (Java, .NET, PHP, Go, Node.js, databases).
- Advanced knowledge of Operating Systems (OS).
- Experience with DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with modern technologies like containers, Kubernetes, Serverless functions, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Terraform).
Location and travel:Remote position in Northern California, PNW, or Denver. Hybrid role (3 days in office per week) within 45 miles of Mountain View, CA or Denver, CO.
Compensation:$106,000 - $133,000 per year
