Why are we hiring? Telefonica Tech - Data & AI Practice is growing rapidly (100% growth in current FY) and needs a new Account Director to support the Sales Director in developing new clients and future business growth.

Core Objective: Generate new sales revenue from existing or new clients, balancing sales targets with customer expectations for cost, functionality, and quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Qualify sales leads, follow Telefonica Tech sales qualification process.
  • Position and sell data and AI solutions to clients.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with industry partners.
  • Utilize the Sales Process.
  • Maintain and update customer information in CRM.
  • Plan and organize sales strategies.
  • Assist in developing go-to-market propositions with the Marketing team.
  • Understand customer business needs and requirements.
  • Work with pre-sales and technical consultants to present solutions to clients.
  • Negotiate agreements and close sales.
  • Represent the Data & AI Practice at trade shows/events.
  • Create proposal documents and respond to RFPs.
  • Stay updated on insight and analytics trends.
  • Update technical knowledge and skills.
  • Effective time management.

Reporting Line: Directly to the Sales Director, who will provide coaching, mentoring, and training.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of sales/pre-sales experience in IT (Public Sector preferred).
  • Data & AI experience preferred.
  • Microsoft experience preferred.
  • Strong education (ideally a graduate).
  • Problem-solving aptitude and consultative/outcome sales approach.
  • Results-oriented and able to work independently and within a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Experience with complex RFPs highly desirable.
