Kofile Account Executive - Central United States Territory
Position Overview: A Kofile Account Executive Representative is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with city/county government agencies and entities to promote and sell Kofile's products/services.
This role requires understanding government procurement processes, regulations, policies, excellent communication, and negotiation skills.
Must reside in Minnesota, Iowa, or Missouri.
50% travel.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Government Market Analysis: Research and analyze city/county government market to identify sales opportunities; stay informed on government budgets, initiatives, and procurement priorities.
- Prospecting and Lead Generation: Identify and qualify potential customers via cold calling, email campaigns, networking events, social media. Research prospective clients' needs and pain points.
- Sales Presentations and Demonstrations: Conduct sales presentations, product demonstrations, tailored to prospect requirements and challenges.
- Consultative Selling: Understand customer business objectives, processes, and challenges; recommend solutions aligned with their needs.
- Proposal Development and Negotiation: Prepare and present proposals outlining solution, pricing, and terms; negotiate contracts, address objections.
- Relationship Building: Build strong relationships with decision-makers within government agencies and channel partners; collaborate with government officials, procurement officers; follow up with customers.
- Product or Service Promotion: Understand Kofile products/services; create presentations/proposals for government agencies; attend government conferences.
- Government Procurement Process: Navigate government procurement process; ensure compliance with state/federal regulations.
- Competitive Analysis: Monitor competitor activities; develop strategies to differentiate Kofile's offerings.
- Marketing and Promotion: Collaborate with marketing teams for campaigns targeting government agencies; support partners with initiatives.
- Proposal Development: Prepare competitive bids and proposals for government contracts.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contract terms and pricing with government agencies.
- Continuous Learning and Development: Stay updated on sales techniques, best practices; seek feedback.
- Pipeline Management and Forecasting: Manage sales pipeline, track leads; prioritize opportunities.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree; proven experience in government sales; strong knowledge of government procurement processes; excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills; ability to set goals, build relationships with government officials and partners; analytical skills; CRM experience (Salesforce); CPQ experience; hunter mentality; ethical and compliance-oriented; experience with RFPs and government contracts; quota attainment over 3-5 years; willing to travel 50% of the time.
