Turnitin is seeking an Account Executive to join our NOA K12 Sales Team. We are seeking individuals passionate about education and technology, collaborative and entrepreneurial in spirit. Turnitin offers a great benefits package, challenging and inspiring work.
Account Executive leads new business efforts within a defined geographical territory, maximizing growth opportunities against a strategic plan. Manages all client interactions (teachers to district administration), product demonstrations, meetings, to build pipeline and close sales.
Responsibilities:
- Forecasts, owns, and achieves annual sales targets.
- Generates and closes qualified leads.
- Develops daily plans optimizing sales calls.
- Builds a pipeline through inbound/warm leads and outbound prospecting.
- Understands client needs and pain points, crafting solutions.
- Builds lasting relationships with potential clients.
- Navigates educational institutions, identifying decision-makers.
- Works on tenders and RFPs, collaborating with colleagues.
- Ensures excellent client experience (speedy, complete, accurate responses).
- Conducts tailored pitches and product demonstrations.
- Communicates value proposition through various channels.
- Tracks data in CRM (Salesforce, etc.).
- Provides accurate forecasts.
- Keeps up-to-date on territory developments (growth opportunities, market trends, etc.).
- Meets or exceeds sales goals.
- Participates in networking opportunities (conferences, trade shows, etc.).
- Identifies and reports trends to product owners.
- Develops effective itineraries and utilizes resources.
- Communicates and collaborates with internal teams.
- Provides accurate monthly/quarterly/annual forecasts.
- Demonstrates proper use of company systems (Salesforce, Highspot, Zoom).
- Develops professional growth by reviewing publications, networking, etc.
- Demonstrates initiative to improve understanding of educational trends.
Required Experience/Background:
- 5+ years negotiating and closing new business in education.
- Understanding of the secondary educational system, preferably in a SaaS company.
- Strong sales hunter mentality.
- Value-based, consultative sales approach.
- Managing large, complex sales with extended cycles.
- Communication and presentation skills at all organizational levels.
- Proven ability to work effectively with a team.
- Strong written/verbal communication skills.
- CRM (Salesforce) and G-Suite proficiency.
Salary Range: $74,700/year to $99,600/year. This is a bonus/commission-based position.
