Job Details
Lead and direct the accounts receivable team.
Ensure timely client billings and regular customer collections.
Experienced in billing, collections, month-end close procedures, controls, analytics, foreign currency, and people/process management.
Drive continuous improvement across key business processes.
Responsibilities include:
- Oversee all aspects of Accounts Receivable, including billings, cash application, reconciliation, customer collections, and cash flow optimization.
- Oversee Billing, including contractual deadlines, invoice review, and revenue recognition.
- Communicate effectively with staff and related departments.
- Oversee the collections team, reporting on aged receivables.
- Ensure timely billings to customers.
- Reconcile A/R accounts (accounts receivable, unbilled receivables, bad debt), resolving balance variances.
- Lead monthly meetings with sales RVPs to discuss client invoicing and past-due amounts.
- Review and update bad debt provision quarterly and audit memo annually.
- Review monthly A/R flux analysis, providing final copies to the Controller.
- Lead process improvement initiatives for billing, revenue, and A/R issues.
- Assist with audit requests and special projects.
- Communicate with key stakeholders (including FP&A) and internal/external auditors.
- Develop and maintain team performance, including recruiting, coaching, performance management, and team development.
- Generate revenue and AR reporting as needed.
- Perform ad-hoc management requests and analysis.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- 5+ years experience in full cycle accounts receivable (billings & collections)
- 5+ years experience managing staff
- 5+ years experience with multiple entities and foreign exchange
- 5+ years experience with different sales, VAT, and GST schemes
- Strong communication skills at all levels, including C-suite
- NetSuite experience
- Experience working for a SAAS company (preferred)
- Strong leadership skills to influence management and contributors
- Experience within a complex US corporate structure (advantageous)
