The Business Development Manager supports new business generation through cold calling, networking, targeted campaigns, social media, and other forms of outreach, utilizing professional networks to develop new partnerships for Cielo.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Outbound Prospecting
- Undertake circa 500 outbound sales activity per month
- Including phone calls, emails, and social media outreach
- Identify accounts and persona that fit Cielo's current Ideal Customer Profile (ICP)
- Become a sector expert and understand all key RPO competitors working within sector
- Monitor customer activity through Marketo and 6Sense
- Design and update emails and flows through Groove
Inbound Inquiries
- Respond to all inbound email inquiries
- Decline opportunities if clearly not in line with Cielo ICP
- Arrange and attend go/no calls with Business Development Leadership
- Attend follow up meetings with Business Development Leadership
Data Management
- Update Salesforce: create new accounts, contracts, and details, as needed
- Work with Salesforce support team to identify gaps in database
External Marketing Events
- Attend exhibitions and trade shows
- Provide support prior to and post-exhibition in coordination with Marketing
Internal Marketing Events
- Assist with sending invitations through outreach channels
- Provide follow-up support to Marketing team for attendees
Position Requirements
Education:
- High School diploma, or equivalent, required
- Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent, preferred
Experience:
- 2+ years’ experience in inside sales environment, required
- Industry experience in HR Tech and Recruitment preferred
Exposure:
- Demonstrated professionalism and ability to maintain composure when faced with rejection and positive feedback alike
