We are seeking a Business Development Manager to join our team in Amstelveen. The Business Development Manager will play a key role in driving organic growth for NIQ by generating leads and accelerating growth within existing client portfolios. Support will be provided on larger sales engagements.
Responsibilities:
- Achieve personal sales targets
- Acquire new clients through various channels and grow existing client portfolios
- Prioritize client visits based on sales potential and build lasting external networks
- Lead the full sales process from initial lead to contract closing
- Collaborate with other NIQ departments throughout the sales process and client onboarding
- Identify upselling opportunities and generate leads for additional services
- Monitor portfolio performance against targets and take corrective action
- Develop account plans for key prospects and clients
- Ensure consistent utilization of sales materials, including software demonstrations.
- Initiate and participate in projects to successfully launch new product/market combinations.
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of the NL FMCG business
- Ideally 5+ years of experience in Market Research/FMCG (Trade) Marketing & Category Management or Account Management
- Proficiency in using retail measurement data
- Ability to create interest through solution-oriented proposals and high customer satisfaction
- Strong networking skills and ability to maintain relationships with clients and prospects
- Focus on both short-term and long-term results
- Excellent communication skills (English & Dutch)
- Energetic self-starter with a passion for sales and building relationships.
