We are currently recruiting for a Consulting Actuary/ Client Relationship Manager (CRM).
The CRM will support a book of business in the West Region with emphasis in the Public Sector market. The candidate may be based out of our San Francisco, Los Angeles, Phoenix, or Denver offices.
The Opportunity: The individual will step into a multi-faceted role that offers the opportunity to have a significant and positive impact on the continued growth of the public sector retirement benefits consulting business. The CRM will be a key contributor in the Region.
The Role:
- Client management
- Project management
- New business development
A CRM has the primary relationship accountability for assigned clients, overall servicing responsibility, and client satisfaction. In addition to maintaining positive relationships, the CRM will collaborate with others across Segal to provide clients with a full array of our consulting services.
- Understanding clients’ issues, anticipating clients’ needs, and navigating potential solutions
- Establishing rapport and building effective working relationships
- Innovating client deliverables and industry presence
- Providing expertise to clients and colleagues on employee retirement benefits issues
- Applying actuarial concepts, methods, and applications
- Collaborating to build and maintain client relationships
- Leading and/or participating in new business development initiatives
Consultant responsibilities:
- Guides client service teams
- Mentors and develops staff
Minimum requirements:
- 9+ years of experience in employee benefits consulting or related services
- Exposure to retirement plan strategies, concepts, design, and implementation in the public sector
- Undergraduate degree
- ASA accreditation (FSA preferred)
- Ability to step immediately into a direct client contact role
- Strong business acumen and leadership ability
- Proven success as a relationship builder/collaborator
- Proven experience managing client relationships
- Skill in delivering complex information in actionable terms
- Ability to analyze issues and develop solutions
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work with diverse colleagues and clients
- Willingness to travel
Base Salary: $121,000 - $180,000
Bonus: Discretionary performance bonus based on company and employee performance
