What is Sylvera? Sylvera provides carbon data for genuine climate impact. Our mission is to incentivize investment in real climate action. Purchasing credits through the carbon markets is one of the most established and scalable ways to channel finance from the private sector to effective climate solutions and work toward societal net zero. Sylvera builds software that independently and accurately automates the evaluation of carbon projects. With Sylvera's data and tools, businesses and governments can confidently invest in, benchmark, deliver, and report real climate impact.
What will I be doing? This is a key role in the APAC team that will own the Japanese market, helping us drive further market penetration. Specific responsibilities include:
- Be our go-to person in Japan: Build and own the territory across large existing and prospective enterprise customers.
- Generate net-new commercial sales opportunities and close new business.
- Develop and execute outbound strategies to create and nurture opportunities.
- Own the full sales cycle from lead to close.
- Establish and grow relationships with multiple stakeholders within our prospects.
- Ownership of revenue generation strategy in assigned accounts.
- Provide quality feedback from prospects to our product team.
- Become a technical expert and point of reference for customers and prospects.
- Increase Sylvera's revenue by helping our customers solve fundamental challenges.
What are we looking for?
- 10+ years of experience, including in enterprise selling as a top performer.
- Fluent in Japanese and English.
- Excellent cultural sensitivity.
- Deeply cares about the climate.
- Target-oriented, with a track record of meeting and exceeding quotas.
- Structured sales approach.
- Comfortable with ambiguity.
- Hunger to learn.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Established network across multiple industries.
- Experience in value-based selling.
- Experience selling sustainability, ESG, or ratings solutions.
- Self-starter mentality.
- Early-stage startup experience (a plus).
- Previous experience in international companies.
