MinIO is seeking experienced Global Account Managers (GAM) to expand our business within key Strategic Accounts in the US and Europe. Join our journey in creating a strategic account team that caters to our top global customers.
As a GAM, you'll work with existing and new customers, establishing yourself as a trusted advisor. Your role includes:
- Developing and managing opportunities
- Cultivating strong relationships with target accounts
- Leading a skilled cross-functional team to optimize customer experience and create future revenue opportunities.
- Collaborating with internal experts and the field CTO organization to transform customer challenges into innovative solutions.
- Building executive relationships, working closely with the MinIO leadership team (executive sponsorship, business reviews, go-to-market opportunities).
- Building MinIO brand preference and securing multi-year contracts.
- Leveraging trusted partners to accelerate campaigns and expand MinIO's reach.
Requirements include:
- 12+ years complex sales experience, Account Management or Line of Business Management, with quota exceeding experience.
- 3+ years as a Global Account Manager for 1-5 complex global accounts, driving cross-sell and over-quota performance.
- 6-8 years direct lead quota attainment closing enviable brands (high-end global enterprise / enterprise / mid-market).
- Ability to engage and influence C-suite executives and/or line of business management.
- Experience with 9-15 month sales cycles, winning in large, complex organizations.
- Successfully retaining and expanding relationships with high-value customers.
- Creating effective account plans and multi-channel strategies to maximize customer success.
- Managing account team resources and fostering strong customer relationships.
- Proven track record in application-level sales with strong knowledge of cloud-native and data infrastructure technologies.
- Identifying cross-selling opportunities by translating application requirements (including AI initiatives) into sales.
- Engaging key decision-makers (VPs of Infrastructure, Engineering, Enterprise Architects, data experts).
- Understanding hardware requirements for MinIO scaling.
- Early- or growth-stage (Series B+) firm sales success with a disruptive solution provider.
- A results-driven approach, owning success.
- Challenging the status quo to identify use cases and quantifiable business value.
- Effective POC setups and delivery, converting to new logos.
- Close attention to detail, a process- and solution-oriented mindset.
- Success in winning complex, highly competitive sales cycles.
