Overview
Reporting to the Inside Sales Manager, in this remote role, the Inside Sales Representative (ISR) is the initial point of contact for customers, handling inquiries via phone, email, and live chat.
With a deep understanding of our product lines, the ISR proposes tailored solutions, resolves general customer issues, and knows when to redirect to the appropriate Outside Sales Manager. By proactively making follow-up calls on marketing-generated leads, conducting online presentations, collaborating on funnel management with the Sales Manager, and utilizing tools and techniques to enhance customer interactions, the ISR plays a crucial role in the success of our sales efforts.
Position Responsibilities
- Consistently achieves or exceeds annual sales targets through strategic planning and execution.
- Drives both new and repeat sales by expertly recommending tailored Onset products and solutions to meet customer needs.
- Cultivates an in-depth understanding of Onset’s markets, applications, and products, facilitating effective communication across phone, email, and live chat channels.
- Ensures meticulous documentation of all customer interactions in the CRM, maintaining accuracy and completeness.
- Efficiently manages the sales funnel by recording all customer Opportunities and Leads in the CRM.
- Proactively engages in telephone sales initiatives for assigned leads and business development targets.
- Establishes and maintains professional relationships, adapting communication appropriately.
- Provides valuable input to Product Management, suggesting new products or enhancements based on insightful customer interactions and feedback.
- Delivers precise deal closure information, contributing to the organization's commitment to on-time delivery.
- Strategically manages assigned tenders to position Onset for optimal success.
- Undertakes additional sales duties as required by the business.
- Ensures timely submission of all required reports to the manager.
- Occasional travel (2-3 times per year) may be required to support trade show staffing and related events.
Professional Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of proven success in a technical sales role within the technology sector. Preferred average tenure of 3 years.
- Expertise in identifying key areas for efficient time utilization leading to maximum deal closures.
- Results-driven mindset with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
- Demonstrated flexibility, reliability, and adaptability to navigate changes with anticipatory skills.
- Exhibits self-control, discipline, and assertiveness in a dynamic sales environment.
- Effective listening and clear communication skills, both as an individual and within a team setting.
- Proven capability in sales, influencing, and relationship-building.
- Establishes and nurtures customer relationships founded on trust and confidence.
- Innate ability for self-training and staying updated with industry trends.
- Self-motivated, personable, and charismatic, demonstrating ease in connecting with new contacts. Utilizes creativity to secure new prospect meetings.
- Comfortable working independently and skilled in cross-functional collaboration.
- Demonstrated ability to excel in a remote work environment, proficient in collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, etc.
- Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Salesforce.
