The Inside Sales Representative manages inbound sales and marketing leads and achieves sales targets in a designated territory. They are responsible for account management, increasing sales within the existing account base and executing marketing and communication initiatives.
Responsibilities include:
- Soliciting, qualifying, and closing new business.
- Coordinating with VP Marketing, NAM to strategize and deliver successful marketing initiatives.
- Collaborating with management and customer care to deliver excellent service.
- Collaborating with sales management to develop strategic sales methods.
- Managing sales and marketing leads, tracking through CRM.
- Tracking, managing, and reporting sales team metrics.
- Partnering with Operations on special projects for sales process improvement.
- Preparing proposals, renewal contracts and proposal work sheets.
- Attending sales group meetings focused on targets and market analysis.
- Providing assistance to field sales staff.
- Promoting world-class service and brand image.
- Adhering to internal standards, policies, and procedures.
- Supervising others (indirectly, may provide inspector oversight).
Qualifications required:
- Associate degree (or College diploma in Canada) and 3+ years of sales experience, or High school diploma/equivalent and 5+ years’ experience in Certification Services.
- Minimum 1-2 years in Sales or client-facing problem-solving.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience in the certification industry.
- Value-added problem-solving sales process experience.
- Selling services to the food industry.
- Experience with GFSI standards.
Skills and Abilities:
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel).
- Experience with CRM systems.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and in teams.
- Strong time management and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Intermediate English language proficiency (reading, writing, speaking).
