Job Details

The Inside Sales Representative manages inbound sales and marketing leads and achieves sales targets in a designated territory. They are responsible for account management, increasing sales within the existing account base and executing marketing and communication initiatives.

Responsibilities include:

  • Soliciting, qualifying, and closing new business.
  • Coordinating with VP Marketing, NAM to strategize and deliver successful marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborating with management and customer care to deliver excellent service.
  • Collaborating with sales management to develop strategic sales methods.
  • Managing sales and marketing leads, tracking through CRM.
  • Tracking, managing, and reporting sales team metrics.
  • Partnering with Operations on special projects for sales process improvement.
  • Preparing proposals, renewal contracts and proposal work sheets.
  • Attending sales group meetings focused on targets and market analysis.
  • Providing assistance to field sales staff.
  • Promoting world-class service and brand image.
  • Adhering to internal standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Supervising others (indirectly, may provide inspector oversight).

Qualifications required:

  • Associate degree (or College diploma in Canada) and 3+ years of sales experience, or High school diploma/equivalent and 5+ years’ experience in Certification Services.
  • Minimum 1-2 years in Sales or client-facing problem-solving.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Experience in the certification industry.
  • Value-added problem-solving sales process experience.
  • Selling services to the food industry.
  • Experience with GFSI standards.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel).
  • Experience with CRM systems.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Strong time management and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Intermediate English language proficiency (reading, writing, speaking).
