Sponsorship Director is responsible for planning, developing, and optimizing sponsorship programs for Fan Expo HQ events worldwide. This role encompasses all aspects of sponsorship, including planning, sales, relationship-building, contract negotiation, and activation management.
Focuses on identifying growth opportunities and securing new sponsorships.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with sponsors, exhibitors, vendors, and community business contacts.
- Develop and deliver a comprehensive sponsorship sales plan.
- Identify potential exhibitors and sponsors and create sponsorship prospectuses.
- Represent Fan Expo HQ at key events.
- Build a sponsorship spectrum and identify potential sponsors.
- Negotiate sponsorship terms (pricing, deliverables, activation plans).
- Execute activation plans in collaboration with internal and external partners.
- Create customized sponsorship packages offering branding opportunities.
- Monitor sponsorship performance, track key metrics, and adjust strategies.
- Manage the sponsorship budget and ensure profitability.
- Collaborate with marketing to promote sponsorship opportunities.
- Manage the sponsorship team, overseeing booth sales and exhibitor recruitment.
Key Dimensions:
- Strategic Planning: Gather and analyze data; redefine goals; determine priorities and resource allocation.
- Sponsorship: Oversee the sponsorship program; identify new markets and business opportunities; assess sponsorship opportunities.
- Manage onsite sponsor presence (space allocation, design, logistics).
Further Information:
- Salary range: $125,000 to $150,000 plus uncapped commission.

Required skills and experience:
- Strong experience in B2C event sales, event planning, or pop culture exhibitions.
- Expertise in managing long-term client relationships.
