Who You'll Work WithArista is looking for an individual to join our German team as an Account Manager for a new regional business area, focusing on building and growing all aspects of sales across a list of accounts within the territory. This role requires a self-starter with sales leadership skills to grow revenue and build pipeline. Key to success is identifying and qualifying major IT spends for leading companies and creating engagement plans. A good regional presence, understanding of the region’s industrial and economic environment, and an appreciation for technology are highly desirable.
What You'll Do
- Exceed measurable sales objectives and extend the Arista brand.
- Identify, develop, and close sales opportunities across the Arista product portfolio (Data Centre and Campus Networking, Cloud-based WiFi, POE switches, Routing Platform, Cloud Vision, DMF Fabric Monitoring, NDR, Endpoint, AI-driven Network Identity Management).
- Utilize a consultative selling approach to address client needs for hybrid cloud computing and legacy IT systems.
- Generate new opportunities and sales presentations.
- Meet with key decision-makers to present Arista’s value proposition.
- Partner with Systems Engineering to design compelling solutions for lower total cost of ownership.
- Collaborate with sales partners and the Arista channel team.
- Conduct demand generation activities (happy hours, lunch-n-learns, technology forums).
- Collaborate with Arista peers on marketing plans and best practices.
- Stay updated on technology partner solutions, competitor strategies, and industry trends (e.g., Virtualization, SDN, Cloud).
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a similar vendor or partner role selling networking technology to enterprise and commercial customers.
- Knowledge of networking equipment (Routers, Switches, SDN, SD-WAN, Campus Networks, Network Virtualization, NFV), data center, and/or network automation solutions is desirable.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales quotas.
- Ability to discuss Arista’s value proposition and engage with all levels of end-users.
- Strong understanding of current industry trends, particularly virtualization, SDN, and cloud.
- Strong work ethic and winning mentality.
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS, CS, BBA) or equivalent (‘Fachinformatiker/in Systemintegration’ or ‘Kaufmann/ Kauffrau für IT-System-Management’); MBA desirable.
- Fluent German and English.
- Currently resident in Germany.
- Proven ability to navigate end-user requirements definition, contracting, and resale processes.
- Demonstrated people skills and relationship-building abilities.
- Proven track record of building business plans, documenting processes, and exceeding sales targets.
- Passion and enthusiasm for storytelling to effectively communicate the Arista story.
- Technical knowledge or background desirable.
